Houston Dynamo FC Academy announces the Partners in Development - Coach Apprentice Program- 2021-22

The objective of the Houston Dynamo FC Academy - Coach Apprentice Program is to provide an opportunity for aspiring youth soccer coaches within Greater Houston and the Partners in Development program a hands-on experience in a professional academy.

This is a non-paid, 3 to 6 month program, starting in Aug. 2021, that allows for flexibility within current club or job commitments.

The program is open for motivated coaches who can commit to a minimum of 1-2x per week for the Fall and/or Spring MLS Next season, along with selected planning and developmental meetings.

Selected coaches in the apprentice program will become an active team members of the Dynamo Academy- Formation Phase (U13, U14, U15) as support staff, working closely with the Lead Coaches, and other highly motivated Dynamo Academy staff.

This outstanding opportunity will allow the motivated coach to learn the Dynamo Academy game model and our evolving methodology, to grow as a coach and take part in developing some of the talented and motivated players within the Academy.

"We are excited about adding the Coach Apprentice program to our Partners in Development.  We often have interest from coaches who would like to observe or support the academy, and we realized that a more consistent coach development program may be of interest for aspiring coaches who want to devote time for their ongoing development.  We believe that this will be a great learning opportunity for a few greater Houston coaches, and opportunity for our Partners in Development to support their coaches ongoing development."   Paul Holocher, Academy Director
