This weekend, the Houston Dynamo U13 and the U14 teams will travel to Dallas for the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Boy’s Regional Showcase. The weekend provides an opportunity for each team to play the top teams in the region.

Houston will see the West Florida Flames and Vardar Academy from Michigan on Sunday, and Orlando City SC and Columbus Crew SC on Monday.

The showcase has a new format than the academy’s other games. The competition will include four games with 25 minute halves in two days. With such a high number of games in a short period of time, teams will have a chance to test different lineups and formations.

The event also gives a chance for the US National Team’s Development Academy to scout future impact players. For the Dynamo, it will be yet another chance to show a larger audience the results of the team’s hard work and development.

At the conclusion of the competition, both teams will return to Houston with only a few days before they return to the North Texas area for a match in Fort Worth against the Dallas Texans.
