Eric Klenofsky - Head of Academy, Goalkeeping                        eklenofsky@houstondynamo.com 

Eric comes to the Houston Dynamo FC from the University of South Florida men’s soccer program, where he was most recently responsible for working with USF’s goalkeepers.
 
Klenofsky, a native of Lincoln Park, N.J., arrives in Tampa following a professional playing career that saw him suit up for clubs such as D.C. United, Richmond Kickers, Toronto F.C. II and the Tacoma Defiance. Most recently, Klenofsky served as the captain for Toronto F.C. II in the United Soccer League One for the past two seasons. 
 
Klenofsky began his young coaching career as the goalkeeper coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2018, where he wrote and facilitated goalkeeper training sessions during the 2018 spring season. He also assisted with the day-to-day operations within the program.
 
On the pitch, Klenofsky was drafted out of New Jersey’s Monmouth University by D.C. United in the second round (34th overall pick) of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. He made his professional debut in April of 2017 with the Richmond Kickers of the USL Championship in 2017.
 
Klenofsky also spent time with Hapoel Marmorek F.C., of the Israeli National League (2018), where he helped the side to the Toto Cup Liga Leumit Finals. Klenofsky spent 2019 and 2020 with Toronto F.C. II, the reserves for 2017 Major League Soccer Cup Champions, Toronto F.C. He was then loaned to the Seattle Sounders reserve side, Tacoma Defiance for the remainder of the 2020 season before making his way to Tampa. 
 
Klenofsky played his collegiate soccer at Monmouth University, in West Long Branch, N.J. where he was a two-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Goalkeeper of the Year (2015, 2016) and was an All-Northeast Region First Team selection (2015). He capped his career off by being named to the MAAC 35th Anniversary Second Team, after turning in a 36-13-16 career record.
 
The Hawks’ standout was also a two-time NCAA Division I goals-against average statistical champion as a freshman in 2013 (0.22 GAA) and a sophomore in 2014 (0.48 GAA). He also finished second in save percentage in 2013 (.914) 
 
Klenofsky graduated from Monmouth University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, with an emphasis in journalism and public relations, and a minor in sports
communication. 
 
He is currently working towards his Masters of Science degree in sport and exercise psychology at Staffordshire University in Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom.
